Tips For Travel To Kuala Lumpur

Are you planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur? Here is a list of things that you should know before you visit.

  • The primary thing is to stay safe in any city you visit. Do not trust the traffic or the drivers to stop on seeing you, not even if you have a green signal to cross. Check either side of the road before you cross. There is always a high probability that a car or bike will come unannounced if you are not careful enough to check the road before setting your foot down to cross it. Also, never ever hesitate while crossing, hesitation will cause an accident for sure. In case you are utterly confused and unsure, cross whenever the locals do. Try to stay in the herd.
  • Have street foods in Kuala Lumpur. You will be amazed by the great taste of the food. However, if you are ordering something you have never heard of before and that too while answering a person speaking a language that you have never heard before, rely on the hand signs. I do not mean the signs for the deaf and the mute, rather point towards the item you wish to have (a picture will also do), signal the quantity you wish to have, and for the questions you do not understand, just nod or shake your head and pray that you have chosen the right option. Well, it isn’t as scary as it sounds. Most food is wonderful in taste. You might have to practice having something spicy, but that is all that might go wrong. You will most probably be able to see the names of the food written in English as well. In case you are unsure about where to eat and hygiene is your concern, get to a place where most of the locals are going. They will know best where the food is healthy.
  • Do not worry, almost every person speak great English in Kuala Lumpur. Also, the locals are highly helpful. They will give you direction and any advice you seek. Some will actually come over and ask you if you need any help. But, remember to speak a little slowly. The people understand English and speak it well, but it is better if you keep to using of simple words.
  • Bargain while buying anything. There is an art of bargaining. Before going to that aspect, let me tell you, you will get the exact same product at the stall of numerous vendors and every one of them is ready to sell it to you even if you leave one or two stalls. The thing is, the price they ask for is way too high than what they are willing to sell the product for. There is no way how much a particular item will cost, but a safe option will be starting at half the price they ask for or a little less than that, and then slowly working upwards until you reach a satisfactory point and both you and the vendor agrees. Do not rise to fast, keep your pace slow. At times moving away from the stall will also do the trick.

Kuala Lumpur is a nice place to spend you holidays. You will have many great hotels in Kuala Lumpur that will offer you wonderful service. Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is a nice one among the list.
